Benefits of Planning and Scheduling Course

During a recent Maintenance Planning and Scheduling course, we asked the delegates for 5 minutes of their time to learn more about why they were attending the training and how they thought it would benefit them.

Here are their thoughts (names have been changed!):

The Apprentice

Harry had just completed a 4-year apprenticeship and is now in a newly created role and has never been a planner previously. He was recommended to attend the course to give him a head start in his new role. The company has quite a backlog and are also implementing a new CMMS with which he will also be heavily involved. Harry said learning the content of this course is going to be very valuable in ensuring he sets the new position up in a structured way.

New to the Role

Susan is fairly new to her role and it is a company requirement that she completes this course. A lot of what is covered has already been implemented but she does feel that the course benefited her by giving her new ideas and some fresh approaches.

The Seasoned Course Attendee

Paul has already completed our Maintenance Best Practice and Spare & Materials Management courses. He wanted to complete this course in order to bring structure and practical planning tools to his workplace. The data they have is varied, there is no analysis and they need to reflect more and follow standard formats.

For Facilities

Tom works for a proactive Facilities Management company who only have 25% reactive works. He aspires to become an Asset Manager and felt this course would help with his skills and knowledge. He also wanted to ensure that what he already knew was kept up to date. He is also going to complete the Institute of Asset Management certificate, MCP’s Maintenance Best Practice and Managing Plant Reliability courses as well. He said that as he is new to scheduling, this course will definitely help him to make sure the correct processes are in place.

In this video our trainer, Richard Fathers, explains more about the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling course.

MCP’s Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Course

An organisation can invest in the best technology, resources, software and condition monitoring. It can implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), autonomous work teams, value-driven maintenance and still be an ineffective and inefficient organisation, if its maintenance planning and scheduling processes are not effective.

No matter how new or seasoned you are to planning and scheduling, MCP’s Maintenance Planning and Scheduling course will provide you with a refreshed basis for implementing effective and efficient practices and making the best use of resources.

We run our scheduled Maintenance Planning and Scheduling courses out of our Solihull office. For the next dates and availability, please click here.
